Xiao Zhao

Xiao joined Stanford as a postdoc in February 2023 under the supervision of Prof. William Chueh. He obtained his Ph.D. at the University of California, Berkeley where he investigated the structure, properties, and reactions of solid-liquid interfaces. His current research is focused on the development of operando X-ray microscopic techniques for aqueous battery systems in collaboration with Advanced Light Source and combined microscopic and spectroscopic techniques for the study of electrode electrolyte interfaces. In his free time, he enjoys playing ukulele, hiking, and cycling.
