Joon-Hyung Lee

Joon joined the Chueh group in September 2023 as a visiting professor from Materials Science and Engineering, Kyungpook National University, Korea, where he has been a professor for 21 years. He completed his Ph.D. in 1995 and joined the Chiang group at MIT as a postdoctoral associate. In the meantime, he also joined Caltech (2008-2009) and Stanford (2015-2016) as a visiting scholar. 

His primary interests relate to most ceramic processing, including synthesis, phase development, microstructure engineering, sintering, etc. He likes to make hand-drip coffee, listen to jazz, watch movies, and explore the vast natural environment in his free time.
