Kyle Frohna
Kyle was awarded his PhD in Physics from the University of Cambridge in 2023. There he worked with Professor Sam Stranks at the Cavendish Laboratory to develop operando methods to characterise and improve next-generation solar cells. He previously obtained his B.A. (Sc) in Nanoscience in 2017 from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, close to where he grew up. Kyle joined the Chueh group in 2024 as a Stanford Energy Postdoctoral Fellow. Co-supervised by Dan Congreve in Electrical Engineering, he is developing microscopy techniques to guide the rational design of grid-scale storage devices. Beyond science, Kyle is also an avid weightlifter and a heavy metal drummer.
